3D printing for rapid, successful product development

A good design is the key to a successful product. At TOS, we use modern 3D design technology to transform ideas into manufacturable, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing products.

Using CAD software (SolidWorks), we model products down to the smallest detail. This allows us to capture not only the form but also functional aspects such as fit, strength, tolerances, and assembly.

A 3D model allows us to make choices about design, materials, and production methods early on. This prevents costly adjustments later in the process. Moreover, using our own 3D printer, we can quickly create physical prototypes, allowing us to immediately test design decisions in practice.

Our 3D printer is ideal for developing inspection and assembly tools or quickly visualizing a design. For specific applications—such as 3D printing in metal, transparent prototypes, or large parts—we collaborate with specialized suppliers from our international network. This allows us to combine speed with quality and flexibility, tailored to every technical need.

Our engineers combine creativity with technical knowledge, so that every design not only looks good, but is also easy and cost-efficient to produce.

From concept to production-ready design

Whether it’s a completely new product or the optimization of an existing component, TOS manages the entire process from concept, engineering, and prototype construction to series production.

We start with an intake interview in which we map out the product’s requirements, function, and operating conditions. We then translate this information into a 3D design that meets both technical and aesthetic objectives.

With our CAD models, we can easily generate and simulate alternative designs or variants. Think of strength calculations, weight analyses, and test setups that provide insight into the product’s behavior under load. This allows us to provide targeted advice on the best production techniques, such as deep drawing, progressive stamping, cutting, forging, CNC machining, or aluminum extrusion.

Thanks to our experience in production and manufacturability, we always think practically: where can material be saved, which tolerances are truly necessary, and how can assembly be simplified? This combination of design and production expertise makes TOS a reliable partner for companies that want to innovate without risk.

Method

To provide you with the best possible service

we adhere to the following procedure:
First acquaintance

During this conversation we will briefly explain what we can do for you and answer your questions.

Price research

Based on your product and requirements, we request prices and delivery times from various suppliers.

Quotation and agreement

We will then prepare a clear quote. Prices are quoted based on your terms and conditions.

Prototype and approval

Once you have approved our proposal, we will start creating a prototype.

Quality control and delivery

After approval of the prototype, the assignment will begin.

3D design, prototyping and production under one roof

At TOS, you have a single point of contact for the entire process, from 3D design to production. Our 3D printer allows us to quickly produce prototypes or functional mock-ups, allowing design ideas to be immediately tested for shape, fit, and ergonomics.

This shortens development time, optimizes the product, and accelerates the production process.

We also have an international network of reliable manufacturers in Europe and Asia. This allows us to manage not only the design, but also the production and entire supply chain of your components – always in accordance with European quality standards and with clear communication through a single point of contact.

With TOS as your design and development partner, you gain a technically strong and flexible partner with a structured approach: from sketch and prototype to production, quality control, and logistics. We think in terms of solutions at every stage, ensuring an efficiently organized supply chain and a smooth process from concept to serial production.
