For a client in the earthmoving sector, we produced a series of high-quality forged towing eyes. The heads of these towing eyes are manufactured by die forging, after which they are largely CNC-turned to exact specifications. The chosen material is 42CrMo4, an alloy steel known for its excellent strength, toughness, and wear resistance.
After the forging process, the components are quenched and tempered to further enhance their mechanical properties. The shaft section is precisely machined to achieve a low surface roughness and is provided with threading, making the product immediately suitable for use in heavy-duty applications.
To ensure quality, we supply each product with material certificates, dimensional inspection reports, and surface roughness reports, giving the customer full confidence in the performance and reliability of the towing eyes.
