Contract manufacturing for industrial products

Scale from prototype to series production with one partner

Outsourcing production can help OEMs, SMEs and product developers scale faster without investing in every machine, process and specialist in-house. TOS Outsourcing manages contract manufacturing from the first manufacturability review to repeat series and international delivery.

Share your 2D drawings, 3D models, bill of materials, specifications, forecast and target quantities. We assess the production route, tooling, tolerances, quality risks and capacity before selecting suitable suppliers. Where needed, the route starts with product optimisation, 3D design or prototyping.

You keep one Dutch technical point of contact while TOS coordinates quotations, samples, planning, quality control, documentation, assembly, packaging and logistics. Discuss your manufacturing project and receive a practical route from prototype to series production.

Why choose TOS Outsourcing?

Significant cost savings
A broad supplier network
European quality standards
One Dutch point of contact
Expertise in labour-intensive manufacturing

Which production activities can be outsourced?

A contract manufacturing route can combine individual parts, subassemblies and complete products. TOS can coordinate CNC machining, sheet-metal work, welded assemblies, plastic and metal components, metal casting, surface treatment, assembly, testing and packaging.

The best route depends on product maturity and annual demand. A prototype checks function and manufacturability; a pilot batch validates tooling, work instructions and inspection; series production then focuses on stable quality, capacity and repeatable cost. TOS keeps drawings, revisions, approval samples and inspection requirements aligned throughout these phases.

We select suppliers on technical fit, capacity, quality systems, communication and total landed cost rather than unit price alone. This gives you access to specialist manufacturing while retaining control over specifications, milestones and acceptance criteria.

Our process

From first drawing to repeat production

We use the following five-step approach:
Initial consultation

We review your drawings, volumes, materials, quality requirements, budget and scaling targets.

Supplier and price research

We match the required processes and capacity with suitable manufacturers and compare total cost and lead time.

Quotation and approval

You receive a transparent quotation covering production, tooling, finishing, inspection, packaging and logistics.

Prototype or first article

We coordinate prototypes, pilot batches or first article inspection before series production is released.

Quality control and delivery

We monitor production, documentation, inspection, packaging and delivery against the agreed plan.

Contract manufacturing, supply-chain risk and CBAM

A resilient outsourcing strategy considers more than the quoted part price. Supplier location, energy and material inputs, tooling ownership, lead time, minimum order quantities, currency, freight, import duties and quality risk all influence total cost. TOS compares these factors and can build a production route with alternative suppliers or staged capacity where the project requires it.

For covered goods imported into the European Union, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) reporting and certificate obligations may apply. The exact scope depends on the customs classification, origin, material and import route, and requirements can change. TOS can help collect production and supplier data, while your customs or tax specialist should confirm the legal treatment for your imports.

Our supply-chain support combines supplier coordination, quality follow-up and logistics in one workflow. This makes scaling from prototype to series production more predictable without relying on unfinished country-specific pages or a single production location.
