Source welded structures through one technical partner
Need a reliable partner for custom steel fabrication without coordinating several workshops yourself? TOS Outsourcing sources welded structures and fabricated assemblies from qualified manufacturers and manages the complete route from drawing review to delivery.
Send us your 2D drawings, STEP model, bill of materials, material specification, quantities and welding requirements. We review manufacturability, tolerances, weld accessibility, distortion risk, machining datums and surface treatment before selecting a suitable supplier. Your project can combine welded construction, cutting, bending, CNC machining, finishing and assembly.
You keep one Dutch technical point of contact while TOS coordinates quotation, planning, quality control, documentation, packaging and logistics. Share your fabrication project for a feasibility review and quotation.
Why choose TOS Outsourcing?

Expertise in labour-intensive manufacturing
Which structures and assemblies can be fabricated?
TOS can source machine frames, chassis, conveyor structures, platforms, stairs, railings, hoppers, brackets, guards and complete welded assemblies. Projects range from one-off industrial fabrications and prototypes to repeat series made to controlled drawings.
Depending on the design, the production route may include laser or plasma cutting, saw cutting, CNC bending, rolling, drilling, tapping, MIG/MAG or TIG welding, stress relief and precision machining of mounting faces and bores. Combining these processes through one project route reduces transfers and unclear responsibilities.
Common materials include S235 and S355 structural steel, stainless steel 304/316 and aluminium. Finishing can include blasting, hot-dip galvanising, powder coating or wet painting. TOS can also coordinate assembly so the structure arrives ready for your next production step.

Where required, we arrange a prototype, sample or first article inspection before repeat production.

Quality control and delivery
We coordinate production, inspection documentation, surface treatment and delivery to your agreed location.
Why outsource custom steel fabrication through TOS?
Outsourcing fabricated structures can release internal capacity and give access to specialist equipment without investing in a complete fabrication line. The challenge is finding a supplier whose welding capability, dimensions, lifting equipment, certification and quality system match the project.
TOS compares manufacturers on technical fit as well as price. Before production, we agree material traceability, critical dimensions, weld quality, inspection methods and acceptance criteria. Depending on the application, documentation can include EN 10204 material certificates, dimensional reports, first article inspection and project-specific welding or NDT records.
We also coordinate supply chain and delivery, including packaging for large or coated assemblies. This gives you one responsible partner for fabrication, secondary operations, inspection and logistics while retaining visibility over milestones and quality.
FAQ – Custom steel fabrication
Is TOS a steel fabrication company?
TOS is your technical outsourcing partner rather than a single fabrication workshop. We select a suitable steel fabrication company from our international supplier network and coordinate engineering review, quotation, production, inspection, finishing and delivery through one point of contact.
Which equipment is available in the TOS supplier network?
Available processes include laser, plasma and saw cutting; CNC bending and rolling; drilling and tapping; MIG/MAG and TIG welding; robotic welding; CNC machining; blasting and surface finishing. The exact machine capacity, lifting capacity and certification are matched to the dimensions, weight, material and quality requirements of your project.
Which types of structures and welded assemblies can be produced?
Typical products include machine frames, chassis, conveyor structures, platforms, stairs, railings, hoppers, supports, guards and complete welded assemblies. Projects can range from one-off fabrications and prototypes to repeat series made to approved drawings.
Which materials can be used for fabricated structures?
Common materials are structural steels such as S235 and S355, stainless steel grades including 304 and 316, and aluminium where low weight is important. Material certificates and traceability can be included when specified in the RFQ.
Can TOS also arrange surface finishing?
Yes. TOS can coordinate blasting, hot-dip galvanising, powder coating, wet painting and other project-specific finishes. The complete assembly can therefore arrive protected and ready for installation.
How is the quality of welded structures controlled?
Quality is agreed before production. Controls can include drawing review, material certificates, welding procedure and welder qualifications, visual weld inspection, dimensional reports and additional NDT where required. TOS coordinates the applicable quality documentation with the selected supplier.
Can steel fabrication be sourced internationally?
Yes. TOS can compare suitable suppliers in Europe and Asia according to fabrication capability, certification, total landed cost, lead time and logistics. The production country is selected only after the technical and commercial risks have been assessed.
Can you supply prototypes and small quantities?
Yes. Depending on tooling and setup requirements, projects can start with a prototype, one-off structure or small batch before moving to repeat production. This is especially useful for checking fit, distortion, accessibility and assembly interfaces.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Please provide PDF, STEP or DXF files, overall dimensions and weight, material and welding specifications, quantities, critical tolerances, surface treatment, inspection documentation, packaging and target delivery date. Clear functional requirements produce a faster and more reliable quotation.
